Owltastic

As you can see.. I have A lot of time on my hands.. haha but Polyvore has become my new addiction, next to pinterest of course. I can make fashion sets.. and the best part is, eveything usually has prices and location of where you can purchase the items! I, by no means am a fashion icon.. haha but its fun to put pieces together.. this is more of an obsession.. things I would like for Christmas.. sooo just in case your wondering what to get me this year. ;)

Pinterest do's.

So I have a obsession with Pinterest.. I find all these awesome, amazing, things I want to do.. well Ive done some.. and attempted some.. thought I would share with you! I'm going to make it a goal to do at least a project a month.. maybe more, but Ill stick with a month so I don't have all these unfinished projects lying around.

Here Are my recent Pinterest do's: (Most photos Courtesy of pinterest, mine will soon follow)

First off.. My dresser re-do.. I love Grey and yellow.. my new room color pallet! I'm glad to say my DIY version of this is very similar, Except my Yellow is a little lighter, and I opted for painting the legs yellow as well!

Vintage bird cage.
Ive been wanting one like this forever.. and I finally found one! When i was at this antique store in Montana. I found a white one for $7. My plan is to paint it like this.. so technically this is not a finished pinterest find, but i did get the bird cage! lol

Framed shopping bags.
I love this idea.. because i save all my gift bags/shopping bags like this.. Wish I had a Chanel bag to frame, one that actual carried a Chanel purchase.. *dreaming* lol But I did save my shopping bags from Las Vegas.. A couple years ago I got to go shopping, and of course thought it was the coolest thing ever! :) I recently framed one of them, it was from Hard Rock casino.. The logo was awesome and it fit perfectly in a frame I had. I have a few other ones that are from local stores that will just look neat in a frame. My plan is to display them in the bedroom somehow.. Unfortunately I don't have this amaze-balls closet.

Halloween Wreath.
Halloween colors/different ribbon wrapped wreath... I loved how this looked, and how simple it was. I added my own touches, and used some if the ribbon to make rosettes.

Bad lighting.. But it really is cute. Its hanging on my door already. :) Me and the girls had a craft night and we all made different Halloween wreaths. So fun.

Mummy lights.
Along with wreath making night.. I Decided to make one of these! So easy and cute, I used a big mason jar I had lying around, wrapped it with cheese cloth, and glued on some eyes! Here is my version:
Cute huh?!

Homemade stove top mac&cheese.
Soo this looks delicious right? Comfort food at its finest.. and boy, do I love a good bowl of mac and cheese.. which is usually Kraft macaroni and cheese.. But Michael is a pro at making it, so I always requested it.. butt Real cheesy goodness.. I'm all for it. NOT. I'm sad to say that this recipe and me = fail. It didn't taste THAT bad.. but i think my choice of sharp cheddar cheese and being lazy and using whole milk really made it into a big ol' pasty mess. Try it.. it still is the easiest homemade recipe Ive found.. maybe next time it will be more successful.

I will update with the rest of my pictures soon.. and until new crafts/recipes.. Enjoy!

18 Months!

When did this happen? When did my sweet, cuddly, tiny, baby grow into a walking, talking, independent toddler!! ugh. Time goes by so fast.
Harper is growing into such a little character. She is saying so many words, trying to repeat everything you say, and definitely voicing her opinion! Everything lately is "No,mine!" This is exactly how things are going as we get close to bday number 2:

Sometimes its funny.. other times it turns into a full blown fit.. We encourage her to say "yes" and please, and thank you.. its a work in progress.. She does do very well with saying more, followed by the sign language meaning more. Its so darn cute!

Her 18 mo doctors visit should be coming up soon, im usually not nervous.. but Im getting anxious because Harp has inherited her mom's horrible feet. ;( If you know me, you've seen how I wear out a pair of shoes.. You would think after Wearing corrective shoes that id have perfect feet.. im convinced that after wearing shoes to correct my feet from going inward, they over-corrected them and now my feet lean outwards.. grr. haha Soo yes, Harper's poor little feet lean inwards, almost as if she is walking on the arches of her feet.. that is probably why my arches fall from time to time if I dont wear good supportive shoes. We will have to just wait and see what the doctor says.. lucky for me, he was my doctor at that age too!

I seriously cant get over the fact that I will have a 2yr old in 6 months! I just love her, and as always Im excited to watch her grow and learn.
Update with pictures soon :)
